Founded in 1997, Metro Realty Services, LLC is a full service Industrial and Commercial real estate firm specializing in Long Island properties. Since its formation, Metro Realty Services, LLC has grown to fulfill the needs of our ever-growing customer and client base. The diverse backgrounds of our team members, many with more than 25 years experience, has put Metro firmly in the forefront of the brokerage community. State of the art information systems and a dedicated Support Staff allows Metro to act and react to any requirement. Andrew Blumenthal | Email Andy

Professional Experience

A founding partner of Metro Realty Services LLC, Andrew has been involved in the industrial commercial real estate field for the past 22 years. As a partner, Andrew has helped establish Metro Realty Services LLC as one of the top independent brokerage firms on Long Island.

Prior to the formation of Metro Realty Services, LLC in October 1997, Andrew was a VP at Grubb & Ellis Island Realty, which at that time was the largest real estate brokerage firm on Long Island. It was there that Andrew was a top producer and recipient of the “Broker of the Year Award.” Andrew has successfully represented Home Grown Long Island companies as well as numerous national companies throughout his career and has an outstanding reputation in both the business and brokerage communities.

Before entering the real estate field, Andrew was Director of Marketing for an athletic goods company. In addition, Andrew has an extensive background in retail and marketing as the owner of several successful retail establishments.

Education

An alumnus of Hofstra University with a degree in business management, Andrew is involved in many professional organizations including; Hauppauge Industrial Association, Commercial Industrial Brokers Society and the Huntington Chamber of Commerce.

Professional Experience

David Rotter has been practicing Industrial Real Estate Brokerage since 1998 at the age of 22.  He joined Metro Realty Services, LLC in 2004 as a Managing Partner. He has been a constant dealmaker year after year while building quality relationships and servicing his clients with integrity and excellence from start to finish.

David has represented large companies throughout Long Island as well as Queens and Manhattan, such as Poliform USA, Inc., Contract Pharmacal Corp., J.W.E. Silk, Inc., Better Living Now, Inc. and Mery Steelworks, just to name a few.   His most complex and satisfying deal was Naskart Indoor Raceway located in Ronkonkoma, Long Island’s first indoor raceway in a deal that took several years to complete. This was a true testament to David’s stamina, patience and caring for his client’s needs.

A graduate of the business school at Arizona State University, Doug has been practicing industrial real estate brokerage since 1992, when he began his career at the age of 23.

Now a successful industry veteran, Doug has experienced all of the ups and down of this highly competitive industry and has proven that he’s got what it takes by ranking amongst the top producers year after year.

Doug’s work ethic and approach to brokerage revolves completely around building quality, lasting relationships with his clients and delivering superior service. Honesty, integrity, commitment, knowledge and reliability are all a part of who Doug is and what he brings to the forefront every time.

Doug has represented some of Long Island’s largest and most respected companies, and is an expert in the Hauppauge Industrial Park market. He’s brokered for his clients over 2 million square feet of property acquisitions and dispositions over the years, including two of the largest sale transactions in Suffolk County – the 150,000 square foot building located at 100 Marcus Blvd. in Hauppauge in 2002, and the 225,000 square foot building located at 468 Mill Road in Coram in 2005.

In 2007, CoStar Group recognized Doug as a winner of its Power Broker Award for the 130,000 square foot, 15-year lease transaction he brokered on behalf of 7-Eleven, Inc. for its newly constructed regional distribution center in Bohemia.

As a member of Metro Realty Services, LLC since 2004, Doug is part owner of the firm. He resides in Centerport.

Jeremy Hackett | Email Jermey

Professional Experience

Mr. Hackett joined Metro Realty in January 2006 as a managing partner. He is involved in all aspeacts of running the 15 person office in Farmingdale. His primary focus is on industrial sales and leasing in Nassau and Suffolk County.

Prior to joining Metro, Mr. Hackett was a Vice President at CBRE’s Woodbury office. Concentrating on tenant and landlord representation as well as strategic planning and the implementation of industrial transactions, Mr. Hackett was the only broker in the CBRE office who soley represented industrial properties. He also mentored junior associates in the aspects of real estate negotiations and the basics of the commercial real estate business. One of his many sales includes the 92,000sf buillding on 37 acres sold from Arrow Electronices to Interpharm.

Before joining CBRE, Mr. Hackett was employed at Grubb & Ellis New York, Inc. where, as Associate Managing Director, he was awarded Long Island Business News’ “Rookie of the Year” award in 2002. He was promoted to Managing Director later that year, exclusively representing owners in the disposal of their properties. Prior to that, Mr. Hackett worked as a Managing Agent at Alfred S. Friedman Management Corporation where he was involved in all levels of building management.

Professional Experience

Rick Kreindler is Senior Partner of Metro Realty Services LLC together with partners Anthony Garistina, Andrew B. Blumenthal, David Rotter, Doug Donatelli, Jeremy Hackett, Mark Timpone, and Nick Romano - all veteran area Brokers – principally engaged in the sale and lease of industrial/commercial property. He is, in addition, President of Rick Kreindler Associates, Inc., a real estate management company with tenants such as Poland Springs, Hobart Foods, and New York State Dormitory Authority.

Mr. Kreindler entered the real estate business in 1961 and spent 12 years on Long Island with Greiner-Maltz Company, Inc. before founding Rick Kreindler Associates, Inc. in 1973. In 1992, he merged his company into Island Realty Group, Inc. and served as Chairman. In 1997 he left to reactivate Rick Kreindler Associates, Inc. and subsequently formed Metro Realty Services LLC.

He has testified as an expert witness before the Federal Bankruptcy Court and New York Supreme Court in addition to appearing before the town Boards of Huntington, Brookhaven, Babylon, Oyster Bay and North Hempstead and has also been invited as a guest lecturer at C.W. Post College.

Mr. Kreindler has served on the Board of CIBS – Commercial/ Industrial Brokers Society – and was Chairman of Membership.

As a consultant to owners and corporate clients, Mr. Kreindler has traveled to New England, the Midwest and Southeastern states and Canada on various assignments. He has also written for local and national real estate publications.

Since 1961, Mr. Kreindler has been involved in the sale or lease of many millions square feet of space. As an owner/investor/advisor, he has also been extensively involved in the acquisition, leasing, sale, alteration, construction and financing of industrial and commercial property.

Mr. Kreindler received a B.S. in marketing from New York University and has completed many courses at New York University Graduate School of Business.

Professional Experience

Mark Timpone was asked to join Metro Realty Services as a partner in February 2008.  Along with the other managing partners Mark is responsible for overseeing all activities that support the sales function of Metro Realty Services, LLC.

Prior to becoming a partner at Metro Realty Services Mark spent a year as an associate broker with Metro Realty helping to increase Metro’s strong presence in western Long Island’s commercial / industrial real estate community. As a partner Mark’s primary focus will be to further increase Metro’s already strong presence in western Long Island.  

Before joining the Metro Realty Team in January 2007 Mark spent six years at All Industrial Real Estate Corp where he developed his expertise as a skilled commercial / industrial real estate broker in industrial communities such as New Hyde Park, Mineola, Westbury, Hicksville, Plainview, etc.

Education

Mark attended Adelphi University’s School of Business from 1991-1993 and attended Nassau Community College from 1989 – 1991. He spent the next nine years growing a successful retail business until he sold it in August of 2000.

Mark Currently Lives in Port Jefferson with his wife Ragan.

Career Summary

Mr. Gersten began his real estate career in 1957 as a representative of an owner of Mill properties in Lawrence, MA and Patchogue, NY.  He received his real estate brokerage license in 1959 and was one of the founding partners of a brokerage firm which specialized in industrial and commercial real estate throughout the Nassau and Suffolk County areas of New York.

Career Summary

Nick Romano has over 26 years experience in industrial/commercial real estate. Before entering the real estate field, Mr. Romano worked for 20 years for Garrard USA, a leading manufacturer and distributor of home entertainment equipment. Starting in 1962 as a service technician, Mr. Romano moved up in the company and in 1980 was made Vice President . He left the company in 1982.

Later that year he joined Equity Realty, a small industrial/commercial firm. After passing his Brokers exam he was made Vice President of the company.

In 1990 Equity merged their operation with Island Realty, a  50 year old brokerage firm on Long Island. Mr. Romano was made Vice President.

In 1997 Island was sold to Grubb and Ellis N.Y. Inc. , a major national brokerage and management company where Mr. Romano was made Managing Director.

In early 2008, Grubb and Ellis closed their L.I. office and immediately Mr. Romano joined Metro Realty Services as a Managing Partner.

Currently Mr. Romano represents a number of national accounts for their L.I. real estate requirements and dispositions. He also represents a number of local landlords and developers in the leasing of their properties with over 50 buildings and 45 acres for future development.
